Speech and Language Evaluation
At SpeechRise, we provide a variety of speech evaluation services and language evaluation services based the client’s need. Each speech therapy evaluation will include clinical observations, interview with patient/parent/caregiver and standardized assessment. Speech therapy evaluations typically run an hour and a half in length. Should you wish for an in school speech observation, we will happily coordinate with your child’s school team.
Speech Therapy Treatment
Speech therapy sessions are conducted in home and the evaluating speech therapist will determine a set frequency and duration for speech therapy. Speech therapy treatment sessions will be individualized based on your child’s need. Our team is passionate about providing support in the areas of articulation, receptive and expressive language, apraxia of speech, orofacial myofunctional disorders, feeding delays and disorders and reading delays. Feeding Evaluation and Therapy
If your child is a picky eater or problem feeder, we are here to help! At SpeechRise, we have clinicians trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding therapy. This method uses play to help work your child up a feeding hierarchy, exploring and interacting with a variety of preferred and non preferred foods. The ultimate goal of SOS therapy is for your child to become more comfortable interacting and learning about a variety of foods. This in turn will increase their likelihood to consume new foods!
